Compact hoist for overhead applications

This invention describes a compact overhead crane system designed to move items from a storage area to an assembly line. It uses an elevated rail system with a trolley that can move forwards, backwards, and side-to-side. A hoisting mechanism with a gripper is attached to the trolley, and a unique feature is that the operator controls all movements directly from input devices, like grips, located on the gripper itself.
