Dual lens digital zoom

This camera uses a single image sensor and two different lenses to create zoomed photos. One lens provides a wide field of view, while the other offers a narrower view, specifically between two and three times narrower. When you zoom, the camera intelligently picks the image from the lens that best fits your desired zoom level, then crops and enhances it to produce the final picture.

Why it matters: Filed before multi-lens smartphone cameras were ubiquitous. Advances in computational photography and higher-resolution sensors since 2016 make the described digital zoom method, using two fixed lenses and intelligent processing, a standard feature in many devices.
