Configuring a virtual world user-interface

This invention describes a system that analyzes how a person controls their character in a virtual world to understand their behavior, specifically trying to determine how much their virtual character reflects their real-life self. If the system identifies that the user spends a lot of time in the virtual world, it then customizes their in-game menu to include specific tools for taking and sharing pictures, such as posed photos or spontaneous snapshots.

Why it matters: Filed before advanced AI and machine learning could effectively analyze complex user behavior patterns and infer real-life characteristics from virtual actions. Modern AI/ML techniques make the challenging "real life vs. avatar similarity" analysis more feasible, and virtual world platforms are now more open to dynamic UI customization.
