Subsea collection and containment system for hydrocarbon emissions

This invention describes a system to capture oil and gas leaking from underwater sources. It uses a self-supporting flexible tube, made of segments joined by specific I and V-shaped flaps, that extends from the leak up to a floating platform. The platform separates the collected oil and gas, directing them to different ports for removal, and includes a control mechanism to manage internal volume and pressure. The entire system can submerge and resurface as needed.
