Method of intercepting incoming projectile

This invention describes a method to intercept incoming projectiles, like rocket-propelled grenades, by launching a small missile. The interceptor missile is launched at a slow speed, specifically under 40 m/sec (or even 30 m/sec), and then rapidly steers itself using small motors to hit the target within 250 milliseconds. This allows it to quickly cover nearly any direction around the launch vehicle.

Why it matters: Since 2008, advancements in miniaturized, high-speed processing and AI-driven guidance systems have made the rapid course correction and target tracking described more feasible. These technologies could now enable the precise, sub-250ms steering and direction determination.
