Facsimile delivery system using associated identifiers

This system lets someone write a message on a special piece of paper using a digital pen. The paper contains invisible codes that tell the pen its exact location, allowing it to capture the handwritten message digitally. A computer then takes this digital message and delivers it as a fax to a designated recipient. The invention specifically uses the document's identity as its unique identifier and can include a reply number valid for a limited time.

Why it matters: Filed before widespread cloud computing and advanced document processing APIs. While the original facsimile delivery method is largely obsolete, the backend system for handling and routing digital documents is now much simpler to implement, allowing the core physical-to-digital capture mechanism to be repurposed for modern secure digital delivery.
