Systems and methods for distance based robotic timeouts

This invention describes a way for robots to keep moving for a short distance even if their main brain (high-level controller) temporarily loses connection or has a glitch. Instead of stopping immediately and causing a jolt, the robot's simpler brain (low-level controller) continues the last command for a set distance.
