Vertical farming systems and methods

This invention describes an automated vertical farm where plants grow on surfaces oriented vertically, rather than horizontally. The farm is built from stackable modules that can be physically and electrically connected by an overhead robot. This robot, along with a central processor, automatically manages the modules, which can include lighting, and controls the supply of water and gas to the plants.
