This invention describes an automated home brewing system. It uses a removable vessel inside a housing, where a computer controller manages the entire fermentation process. The controller monitors the fermentation progress by measuring the specific gravity of the liquid using a weight sensor and a pressure sensor, and then automatically adjusts conditions like temperature and pressure to follow a programmed recipe.
