Conformable Booties, Shoe Inserts, and Waterproof Breathable Socks Containing An Integrally Joined Interface

This invention describes a special shoe insert designed to make footwear waterproof and breathable. It's made from a shaped, flexible ePTFE membrane that is joined to itself to form the insert, and a textile layer is attached to it using a discontinuous adhesive. This design aims to eliminate the need for traditional waterproof seam tape, making the insert inherently waterproof and conformable to various shoe shapes.
