Process for generation of hydrogen and syngas

This invention describes a process to generate hydrogen and syngas by combining two steps. First, it captures carbon dioxide by mimicking a natural enzyme reaction, converting CO2 into carbonate ions. This step specifically uses carbonic anhydrase enzyme under 2-4 bar pressure. Second, it uses light (photocatalysis) to convert these captured carbon compounds into hydrogen and syngas, effectively producing solar fuels while sequestering carbon.
