Natural language processing for bias identification

This invention describes a computer program designed to help users identify and correct biased language in written text. It takes text input through a user interface, then uses a specialized language analysis tool to find specific words or phrases that might indicate bias. Once identified, the program suggests alternative wording to remove the detected bias.

Why it matters: Since 2023, large language models have become significantly more adept at both identifying nuanced patterns in text and generating contextually appropriate alternative phrasing. This makes the "entity classifier" and "proposed modification" aspects of the invention much easier and more effective to implement now.
