Group travel between artificial reality destinations

This invention describes a way for a pre-formed group of friends in a virtual reality experience to travel together to a new virtual destination. It works by assigning a shared digital ID to the group. When they choose to go somewhere new, this ID ensures they all arrive in the exact same instance of that new virtual world or game. If a group member doesn't have the destination installed, they can acquire it and still join their friends in the same virtual space.

Why it matters: Filed before the current focus on open standards and interoperability in social XR. The claims address a fundamental challenge of seamless group session management across diverse virtual environments, which remains a complex technical hurdle.
