Augmented reality (AR) measurement display

This invention describes an augmented reality (AR) system that helps users understand measurements in their environment. When the AR device detects a quantity, like a distance or temperature, it looks at the user's past behavior to pick the most helpful unit of measurement for them. It then finds a virtual object to visually represent that measurement and displays both the measurement and the object on the AR device. The system can also decide whether to display or conceptualize these measurements based on the user's historical data.

Why it matters: Filed before generative AI could easily create virtual objects or refine user preferences. The software logic for conceptualizing and selecting units is now much more accessible.
