Resolution of conflicting data

This invention describes a system where a specialized computer, called a resolver node, acts as a gatekeeper for information destined for a blockchain. It receives data about an asset and an associated event, then uses a smart contract to check for conflicts between them. Only data that passes this conflict resolution process is allowed to be recorded on the blockchain.

Why it matters: Filed before the significant growth of real-world assets on-chain and complex DeFi protocols, the need for robust, automated conflict resolution for asset data has become paramount. Smart contract development tools and blockchain interoperability have also matured, making such a system more feasible.
