This invention describes a method for checking for hidden wood rot inside a balcony's structural elements. It involves locating the internal wooden beams from the outside, then drilling a small hole to insert a camera into the enclosed space. The camera captures images of the wood surfaces, which are then analyzed to identify any signs of decay, after which the hole is sealed, either permanently or with a removable plug.
