Systems and methods for vending and/or purchasing mobile phones and other electronic devices

This invention describes an automated kiosk where people can both sell their old mobile phones and buy new or refurbished ones. Users interact with a screen, place their old device in an inspection area, and the kiosk assesses its condition to offer a price. If accepted, the kiosk keeps the old phone. Alternatively, users can select a phone to buy, pay for it, and the kiosk dispenses it.
