Route inspection system

This invention describes a way to check for changes on a route, like a railway track or road. A vehicle takes a picture of a section of the route before it drives over it, and then another picture of the same section after it has passed. By comparing these two images, the system can identify if anything has changed on the route. One specific version of this system only takes pictures when the ambient temperature is above a certain limit.
