System and method for active shooter defense

This is a security system designed to stop active shooters. It uses a stationary base station with a detector to automatically sense and identify a physical threat within a protected area. Once a threat is found, a defensive weapon, such as a guided drone, is deployed from the system to neutralize it.

Why it matters: Since 2019, significant advancements in real-time AI-powered threat detection and autonomous drone guidance systems have made the core technical components more robust. However, the regulatory and ethical hurdles for deploying weaponized UAVs in civilian areas remain substantial.
