Lighting and internet of things design using augmented reality

This is an augmented reality system that helps you plan lighting replacements. It uses an AR device to detect existing light fixtures and map the surfaces in a room. Based on this, it can recommend how many new light fixtures you need and then show you virtual models of these replacement fixtures overlaid on the real-time view, along with how brightly they would illuminate the room.

Why it matters: Filed before current AR hardware and AI computer vision advancements. Real-time object detection and spatial mapping are now significantly more robust.
