This invention describes a specialized device that acts as a translator between industrial equipment and modern low-energy Bluetooth devices. It takes messages from an industrial machine, converts them into a Bluetooth Low Energy format, and then sends them wirelessly. To optimize the message for industrial data, it removes some standard Bluetooth information and expands the space for the actual industrial data within the Bluetooth message, and can also perform the reverse translation.
