This invention describes a specific type of nuclear power plant called a molten chloride fast reactor. Instead of solid fuel rods, it uses a liquid fuel salt that circulates through the reactor's core. The design includes a main heat exchanger located outside the core and a separate emergency cooling system, called a decay heat heat exchanger, positioned directly above the core. The fuel salt flows from the core, through the emergency cooler, then the main heat exchanger, and back into the core.
