Amide and imide photoinitiators

This invention describes special plastic materials (polymers) that have light-sensitive chemical groups attached to them. These groups, called photoinitiators, are linked to the plastic's backbone using either an amide or succinimide bond. When exposed to light, these attached photoinitiators kickstart a chemical reaction, allowing the plastic to change or form, specifically describing a polymer made of two distinct repeating units, one carrying the photoinitiator.
