Smart irrigation system for monitoring and controlling water flow

This invention describes a smart irrigation system that detects leaks. It works by individually monitoring the water flow or pressure in each separate pipe branch of an irrigation system. An electronic circuit learns the normal water usage for each branch and can then identify unusual flow, like a leak, to automatically reduce or stop water only in the affected pipe.
