Nuclear waste disposal in deep geological human-made caverns

This invention proposes a method for permanently storing nuclear waste deep underground. It involves drilling a narrow shaft thousands of feet into stable rock, then expanding the bottom of that shaft into a large, human-made cavern. Prepared radioactive waste is then injected into these deep spaces for long-term containment, with the caverns specifically formed by first drilling a vertical wellbore.
