In-ear headphone

This invention describes a wireless earbud designed for a very secure fit within the ear. It features a main body and a small, angled stem that extends outwards, housing a microphone at its tip. The earbud also includes a second microphone and a system that actively cancels out unwanted noise by generating opposing sound waves. The design aims to keep the earbud firmly in place by having a part that passes through the natural groove between two cartilage bumps in the ear.

Why it matters: Advancements in active noise cancellation algorithms and miniaturized, power-efficient components since 2020 could make the claimed noise cancellation system and compact, secure design more effective and feasible to implement.
