Fluid dispensing system

This invention describes a beer dispenser that uses air pressure to control the flow of beer. When a switch is activated, air pushes a rod with a special angled tip to open the nozzle, allowing beer to flow through a path that includes a flowmeter. The nozzle closes when air pressure is applied to a different part of the system, retracting the rod.

Why it matters: Since 2018, advancements in compact sensors and microcontrollers could enable more precise and adaptive froth control for beer dispensing. Additionally, 3D printing has made custom nozzle geometries easier to prototype and manufacture.
