Angling event detecting and reporting apparatus

This invention describes a device that helps anglers detect when a fish might be biting or struggling. It uses a sensor placed inside the fishing reel to measure things like how fast the reel is turning or how many times it spins. This data is then analyzed by a computer to figure out if an "angling event" is happening, and then reports it to the user.

Why it matters: Since 2018, miniaturized, low-power sensors and microcontrollers have become significantly cheaper and more capable. This enables sophisticated, real-time event detection algorithms to run directly on the device.
