Methods and systems for irrigation control

This invention describes a system for managing irrigation across multiple farms or large landscapes. At each site, wireless devices monitor conditions and control watering systems. A central computer system gathers all this information and allows a user to remotely monitor and send commands to the watering systems from their own device.

Why it matters: Filed before the widespread adoption of low-power, wide-area network (LPWAN) technologies. These, combined with cheaper IoT hardware, now make deploying distributed wireless nodes across multiple sites significantly more cost-effective and practical.
