This invention describes a 3D printer that builds objects by creating entire layers all at once, rather than drawing them out point by point. It uses a special plate with many tiny electrical points to quickly harden a liquid material across a whole layer simultaneously. After one layer is formed, the plate moves slightly to allow the next full layer to be built on top.
